Meet the Flutter Team

Rae @aerialshenanigizer

  • Having started in 2014, the aerial community has given Rae the freedom and creativity to express herself through movement and has helped grow not only her strength but her confidence. In 2018 she was given the opportunity to teach others and share her love of pole (and sometimes lyra) in a fun, supportive, and loving community and she could not be more grateful! Passionate about teaching, she is happy to be able to provide others with a safe and positive environment to let themselves fly. Now as Studio Manager, she is excited to continue encouraging, supporting, and uplifting others at Flutter Fitness Studio.

Pasch @blissful.pasch

  • Her smile lights up Flutter! If you are looking for a warm welcome at the front desk, you can count on Pasch to give it to you! When she's not greeting the Flutter Fam at the desk you can catch Pasch teaching Flex & Flow Yoga.

Heather @heathers_zephyr

  • Heather found her love for dance and movement at the age of 9 when she took her first dance class at the local recreational center in the town she lived. She continued to dance all the way through high school. Lyrical was by far her favorite style because it was whimsical, fluid and emotional. After graduating high school she took time off from dance classes and found it hard to find adult dance classes. In 2010, she took her first pole class after being invited by a friend. She fell in love! She loved the mix of dance and gymnastics style movements. After a year of pole, she found the other aerial arts: Lyra and Silks. She fell in love again, but this time with Lyra. After a few years practicing as a student she got the opportunity to start teaching. In teaching she found a completely new passion, watching her students soar. Heather is very passionate about her students and doing what she can to break down and simplify the movements for maximum success of her students. She wants them all to find their happy place where they can drop their problems at the door, enjoy a community of other like-minded individuals and FLY.

Leo @leanjose01

  • Leo started 10 years ago as a fitness enthusiast eager to become healthy and change his lifestyle without the fear of trying something new. This led him to aerial arts, specifically the Lyra hoop. His background, which spans from CrossFit to teaching indoor cycling, makes for a distinctive coaching style that focuses on strength and most importantly, having fun while working out.

Valerie @valeriemichellenied

  • Valerie Michelle found her passion for aerial arts in early 2011 and hasn’t stopped flying since. After training under multiple Cirque du Soleil artists, she has consistently been performing and instructing for several years across the world. Some of her notable achievements include placing as a finalist for the 2015 US Aerial Championships as well as landing countless performance contracts. These vary in a range from small bars and large corporate events, to charity events, music festivals, megachurches, theme parks, and even above water. While her aerial practice began as a hobby, Valerie’s skill and work ethic has allowed her to work as a full-time aerialist for several years. Since 2018, she has been traveling the world with On the Fly Productions as an Aerial Trainer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. When she is not at sea, she is sought after as an introductory to high-level aerial instructor and performer. While she is well versed in several aerial apparatuses, Valerie’s specialty is aerial fabric (silks).
Valerie strives to supplement her aerial expertise with finding ways to continuously be a student. She is also a certified personal trainer and a yoga instructor! She enjoys dabbling in all varieties of performance arts and has a hidden talent of being able to wield a chainsaw.

Sarah @elevatedmvbp

  • Sarah started her aerial, yoga, and fitness journey about 6 1/2 years ago when she discovered aerial yoga while looking for something to ease her anxiety. She was immediately hooked and soon fell in love with the aerial arts, aerial yoga/fitness, and now barre fitness. She’s completed her 200 hour ytt, 55 hour aerial ytt, and has now been teaching the 55 hour aerial yoga teacher trainings for the last 5 years. Her first love is teaching aerial hammock (aerial arts and yoga) and barre fitness has been a way of life since she started teaching it 2 years ago. She wants to share her love and knowledge hoping that it may help someone’s life like it did for her!

Nakura @nakurared

  • Nakura has been a creative human her whole life dabbling in acting, music and most recently pole dance. She has been teaching pole for 4 years and loves every second of it. She also has a passion for performing and believes in listening to your body, letting your body listen to the music, and being in the moment. Nakura encourages students to train smart while going at their own pace and to enjoy the journey!
Nakura enjoys expanding her skills set and her students inspire her daily to work hard. No matter what kind of day you’re having, you’ll always feel good after class with Nakura.
